Property & Financial Settlement Mediation
Resolving property and financial disputes after separation can be complex, stressful, and costly if handled through the courts. At Mediation for Families, we offer professional property and financial settlement mediation services across Australia, helping couples reach fair, practical agreements in a confidential, neutral environment.
How Property & Financial Mediation Works
Our process is clear, structured, and focused on achieving mutually agreeable solutions:
Intake & Assessment – Your matter is assessed during an initial consultation, and we prepare an Invitation to Mediate for the other party.
- Preparation & Disclosure – We facilitate disclosure between the parties and assist you both with preparation.
Mediation Sessions – We facilitate discussions in either 4-hour or 6-hour sessions, helping both parties communicate effectively and explore options for division of assets, liabilities, and financial arrangements.
Agreement Preparation – Once an agreement is reached, we draft a Property & Financial Agreement that clearly sets out responsibilities, ensuring enforceability if needed.
Optional Certificates – For parenting matters linked to property disputes, a Dispute Resolution Certificate can be issued if mediation is required for court processes at cost of $400.
